One WWE Championship?

Is having one major WWE title a good or a bad thing?

So recently at TLC there was a match for the new title (the WWE world heavyweight title) which was John Cena vs Randy Orton.
Many fans were annoyed that it was Cena vs Orton, but I think it was the right thing to to because whether you like it or not they are the top two people in the past 10 years.

Why is it good?
Since there will only be one major title it should become more special and I feel this is what the WWE tried to do.
I feel that the WWE also did it so that other championships would become more important although I don't think it has...

Why is it bad?
For me I feel It's not a good thing what they've done, because now there's only one major title there becomes more mid-card / Jobbers.
Why? Because before there were two major titles to go for which meant more competition and more title shots. Now there's going to be less serious matches and more random matches. Like before people that I could imagine getting the world heavy-weight championship (Cody Rhodes, Big E Langston, Mark Henry, even Christian) have no chance now of getting a major championship.
And also, what the WWE tried to do failed. The U.S and the intercontinental championship and the tag team championship don't seem much more important than they did before...

Conclusion.
I have a feeling the WWE won't stick with just one title for ever, you can kind of tell since they haven't made one title belt there's still two, so I think some time in the future there just going to go back to normal I don't know how but they will.
